This event has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
We will try again next month.
Work Day Sunday 17th March 10.30am to 1pm. Removing the weeds, soil & leaves from the setts on the lower pedestrian section of Vale Close.
This is another annual job carried out by our volunteers at this time of year. Doing it now helps to keep the weeds down for the summer which makes for a wider and easier walking and running path for the many people who use this route. This traditional stone setted road once linked the bleachworks, located at the bottom of Vale Road, to Didsbury Road and makes a positive contribution to Heaton Mersey’s conservation area.
If left, this is what happens!
TIME & PLACE:
Meet up at 10.30am at the Vale Close entrance to Heaton Mersey Park. If you are arriving later just look out for us on Vale Close where we will be working until 1.30pm.
